Nikos W. Dettmer is represented in our gallery since the summer of 1998. His extensive work enriches the oeuvre of our house of art very significantly. He is almost unequalled in his mastery of fine art painting in oil. His bronze sculptures have been very well received by our clientele, and his graphics show a completely different facet of his artistic work. Many aspects of human life are addressed by this versatility, a versatility which has obviously become a scarce commodity today.

Nikos W. Dettmer – a stroke of luck
After my studies at the academy in Vienna I was looking for the possibility to co-operate with a fine art painter but years went by without success. Although I got to know a few of them, I had no luck in finding the right one because of my very high standards. Then, in 1999, at a “Fest der Begegnungen” (Festival of Encounters), I got to know Mr. Dettmer. After just a brief period of time I knew the high quality of his work in this craft. What interested me far more, however, was his personal capacity for development and his spirituality. Mr. Dettmer is an artist for whom very great things are in store on his journey to translate and capture the grand visions of our time. I say thank-you for the productive co-operation.
